Board shorts custom sourcing with a controlled brief

Supplier-search work starts with what the garment must be, what the buyer can change and which decisions require an answer. We coordinate that brief as an independent sourcing service, then help compare the scope of factory quotations.

US destination and requested arrival dateSeparate production assumptions from freight arrangementsQuoted trade terms, carton dimensions and timing assumptions

For example, a request for 600 pieces split across three colors needs a size-by-color breakdown; it is not equivalent to asking for 600 pieces in each color. This is a planning example, not a quoted MOQ. We surface the distinction before the supplier response is used for a purchasing decision.

A budget preference can narrow the conversation without pretending that any factory has already been rated. High-end may prioritize finish detail and development support; budget may emphasize a simpler fabric, decoration or pack. The supplier must state what changes, and the buyer must decide whether that change is acceptable.

Pause comparison when these details diverge

Unmatched samples

A stock sample can illustrate stitching, but it cannot approve a different fabric or print. Ask which elements match the proposed production garment and record the unresolved points.

Ambiguous quote units

Normalize pieces, dozens and cartons, including the contents of one pack. A low unit number means little if the artwork charge, label, individual bag or freight scope is excluded.

Generic evidence

Ask for documents tied to the proposed material and garment where relevant. A company certificate or a different style's report does not confirm this item. We coordinate questions; we do not certify products or replace the buyer's compliance review.

Send the required specification and your open questions. Quote availability and sample arrangements require supplier confirmation; sending a brief is not an order.
